‘Staying in with..’ on ‘Linda’s Book Bag’

Linda of Linda’s Book Bag has kindly invited me over for a ‘Staying in.. ‘ with one of my books. As you might know, today, October 24th, is not only my birthday but also the frist book birthday of my multi-layered gripping thriller, Absolution, I was delighted to celebrate in this way and brought along my fact-based novel ‘George: A Gentleman of the Road’ about that special, inspiring, incredulous character, George, who shared his lifestory with me.

‘Staying in’ Quote:
I will always appreciate people leaving a review about my novels but I was over the moon with the positive feedback that George’s tale got. It certainly seems to have hit the mark with the reader … just as it did the author.

Interview on ‘Love Books Group’

Kelly of Love Books Group invited me over to her blog for an Author QA about me… (yes, folks, I’ve got a “head full of magic“!) and my 2011 debut novel LETTERBOX. She says about LETTERBOX:
An outstanding debut novel that has all the ingredients of a good read … Gripping, thought-provoking and a tad controversial from the off, this is a real page-turner!”
With what I like most about writing – the authors who inspired me and “my head full of magic”more…

Interview Quote:
Write from your heart but not necessarily from your life. It is important and personal to you but it is difficult to get it just right for your readers. By all means, use real-life events, situations and feelings but let the story come from your imagination.

Guest Post on ‘Linda’s Book Bag’

Linda of Linda’s Book Bag has kindly invited me to write a guest post for her blog as part of the special 2018 LETTERBOX book blog tour. Read all about my inspiration to write my first book, Letterbox, in’The Origins of LETTERBOX’ and find out more about the events from 22 years ago, June 15th, 1996 – the day of the IRA bombing that changed Manchester forever.

Guest Post Quote:
…one small thing within the immediate epicentre of the blast remained relatively unscathed … a Letterbox constructed during the reign of Edward VII. To this day that same red Letterbox stands proudly on Corporation Street, Manchester, England, like a beacon of defiance and hope shining brightly against a world of adversity.”

Interview on ‘Whispering Stories’ Book Blog

Stacey of Whispering Stories interviewed me as part of her series ‘The Writing Life of…” In the interview, I talk about Gene Kelly (!), my favourite childhood authors, the writing bug and how it has always been a part of my life, and.. all about my latest novel, published in October 2017, the thriller ‘ABSOLUTION.‘ Oh, and there is also a duck somewhere in the interview…

Interview Quote:
“From a very early age (primary school) I always enjoyed writing stories and poems but never really imagined myself as a writer. In fact, it wasn’t until my fourth book – NOBODY HEARD ME CRY – was published, that I actually started to consider myself a real writer – a storyteller at heart.

Interview on ‘BookLoverWorm’

Sandra of BookLoverWorm has interviewed me at the start of the new year about my plans and resolutions for 2018. First, I look back upon a year that has not at all gone the way I wanted it to but all things considered, ended on a positive note and I look forward to and am inspired to write my next novel – in fact, I have already started!

Interview Quote:
I want to share with you that there is always somebody that can and will help you through difficult situations. There is always another way forward and believe it or not, there  IS light at the end of that metaphorical dark tunnel. This is the reason that I now find the strength to look forward to 2018 and  focus on what I would feel totally lost without; storytelling.

Guest Spot – Character Spotlight on ‘Over The Rainbow Book Blog’

Joanna of Over The Rainbow Book Blog featured me on her blog as part of the ABSOLUTION book blog tour. The guest post is a character spotlight – all about my inspiration to create Jada Artoli, the protagonist of my thriller ABSOLUTION.

Character Spotlight Quote:
To be perfectly honest, I would say that the inspiration for Jada’s character comes from my own firm belief that we should show respect for others who deserve respect, have love for those who give us love but never be too afraid to stand up and fight for what we believe in.
