When I am hidden beneath this fair land.

When I can no longer reach for your hand.

When I can’t hold you and show you I care,

don’t think of me gone just because I’m not there. 

 

When the time comes, that my time is no more. 

When I can’t kiss you, like I did before. 

When you feel lonely or full of despair,

don’t think of me gone just because I’m not there. 

 

When all of our laughter is silenced by woe. 

When I cannot utter, how I love you so. 

When there are adventures you have to forswear,

don’t think of me gone just because I’m not there. 

 

For I will be watching wherever you are. 

Whenever you need me just look in your heart. 

It’s brimming with memories of all that we shared. 

So don’t think of me gone:

I will always be there.
